Fasten your seat belts you're about to experience seven days of beer heaven, during one of the most scenic beer tours in the world! Set amongst the majestic Rocky Mountains, you are about to visit many of Colorado's finest breweries and attend the 2014 Great American Beer Festival (GABF), the largest and best beer event in the United States.
Expect to amaze all your senses with the opportunity to sample more than 2800 beers from over 580 breweries. In the late afternoon, we will meet together for the first time at our selected hotel and you will receive your RABT gift bag. We will get acclimated to Denver, Colorado by sampling some of its finest craft beers with appetizers specially prepared by local “beer friendly” chefs. In the evening, your first beer dinner will begin to unravel the secrets of American gastronomy and beer cuisine; excellent beers with proper food pairings! After dinner, a planned pub crawl takes us to some of Denver’s most famous beer drinking destinations.
In the morning, we will board our coach and drive to Ft. Collins, Colorado to visit several progressive American breweries that are creating outstanding beers. Our day will include stops at Funkwerks Brewing, Ft. Collins Brewery, New Belgium Brewing and Odell Brewing Company. The day will be followed by a Brewer’s dinner, pairing fabulous beer with locally sourced foods.
Today, we will stay “local” and visit several outstanding Denver breweries. We are planning stops at Great Divide Brewing Company, Breckenridge Brewery and River North Brewery. Lunch will be hosted at a popular beer “friendly” tavern. Dinner will be held at the conclusion of our visit at River North Brewing.
Our day's first event will be a discussion about the American IPA style of beer with our friends Mick Burgeson and Mara Schwartz. We will also be “bottling” our RABT IPA, “Hop Traveler” specially brewed for us by Mick. It will be a free-flowing day with lots of “on your own time”, in addition to “suds-oriented” activities. Some of America’s best brewers and beer industry professionals will stop by throughout the day to visit and talk about what is going on in the American brewing scene. It is your choice to participate in none, one or all of the sessions. This is an ideal day to explore Denver on your own and see the finest it has to offer. In the evening, we will re-connect and enjoy a hosted beer dinner and beer trivia contest with prizes for all participants.
We will start the day with “Maximizing Your 2014 GABF Experience” – a hosted lunch to help you determine the best way to attend America's largest beer festival. Then, we are off to GABF we go! Prepare to sample unlimited tastes of the more than 2800 beers available. Dinner will be on your own this evening.
In the morning, we will board the coach and head to beautiful Golden, Colorado for a group tour of one of the most famous breweries in the world. Lunch with “adult beverages”” will follow a short stop for souvenirs. Then RABT heads for the world famous Red Rock Amphitheater with its breathtaking views. For those desiring a different option, consider “on your own time” and take a self-guided downtown Denver walking tour. The evening will bring a hosted Brewer’s party with music and award winning Colorado beers.
Today we will attend the “members only” session on the third day of the 2014 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) and your second day to find and taste those fabulous beers. This will be the end of your program with RABT. At the end of the session, enjoy the many great pubs and bars Denver has to offer or return to the hotel and get a good night's sleep before returning home on Sunday. The RABT Team will be available and will continue to assist you with any questions you may have at that time.
We sincerely hope you enjoyed your time with us and hope you leave with memories that you will share for a lifetime.
