Day # 7 Culture and Craft beer day.

Our last day will take us on a culture and craft beer journey not to be missed.  We will spend the day in downtown Phoenix, visiting the famous Heard museum and then on to a great night of beer tasting at the Angels trumpet ale house.

Angels Trumpet Ale House was voted in the top 10 places in the valley to eat, drink and be merry! It's going to be a great night with your last opportunity to sample many of Arizona's amazing craft beers.

Day # 6 The HOP'on and off 3 brewery tour.

Your beer guide will welcome the team and provide a brief overview of the fun to come.

Stop 1:  North Mountain Brewing  -  Hand crafted beers at their best. Their beers are brewed in small batches,  which means we'll find  experimental and seasonal ales on tap exclusively at the brewpub. At North Mountain you'll be offered a great opportunity to develop and expand your taste profile with their ever changing distinctive beers and enjoy a wonderful behind-the-scenes tour.

Stop 2:  The Huss Brewing Co.  Run by two people with a lot of passion for Craft Beer.  Owned and operated by husband and wife team Jeff and Leah Huss.  Together they have 20 years experience in the Craft Beer Industry.  Jeff “Ginger” Huss graduated from the Siebel Institute of Brewing Technology and was the Head Brewer for BJ’s Brewery in Chandler Arizona for over Seven years.  Leah Huss graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute with a degree in Culinary Arts and has been the Managing Partner at the Papago Brewing Co. in Scottsdale since 2001.  Both share a love and passion for American Craft beer and it’s culture, and look forward to sharing their knowledge and experience with you!  They are a Quality Lager and Aleworks Brewery with focus on American Craft Beer.   Located in South Tempe.  They have a Tap Room with 20 revolving handles of the beers made on site along with the best beers available in Arizona.

Stop 3:  Four Peaks Brewing Company Wilson Taproom - Four Peaks Brewing is a nationally-known Arizona brewery and restaurant in it’s original (and still main) location in an old creamery and warehouse on 8th street in Tempe, near the campus of Arizona State University. We will head to their production facility and taproom for a tour and learn about their incredible brewing and distribution process - and, of course, taste samples in their taproom.

After time out your hotel to freshen up we shall have dinner and sample more of Arizona's greatest craft beers.

Day # 5 The Grand Canyon tour continues.

During the morning hours you will have some time to relax, enjoy  and take amazing sunrise photographs overlooking the Grand Canyon.


If you are so inclined you will have time to take a short hike into the Canyon itself.  At approximately 12:00pm, your Beer Guide will pick you up from the front lobby of  your hotel to further explore Arizona’s amazing canyon.  We will travel along a 30-mile section of road that winds east along the rim of the canyon, showcasing some of the best rim views along the way including the Little Colorado River Gorge and various view points. We will enjoy a wonderful packed lunch on the way. Before returning to Phoenix from the Grand Canyon, we will be treated to distant views of the Painted Desert as well as close-up views of the Little Colorado River Gorge and Navajo Nation. We will stop in Scenic Flagstaff, Arizona and enjoy some of the best beers in the state at two award winning breweries, The Mother Road Brewing Co. And The Lumberyard Brewing Co. These stops will also include tours of the Breweries.

Day # 4 The start of our 2 day tour to the Grand Canyon, and Breweries in Williams and Flagstaff.

Brews and Views: With an overnight at the majestic Grand Canyon.

Experience the Arizona high country plateau with a beer adventure to the historic towns of Williams and scenic Flagstaff, paired with the amazing Grand Canyon and some of the greatest views on earth during this two full day craft beer tour.  

We will leave our hotel at 7am and begin the beautiful drive north to the high country. You will see the different ecosystems as we go. As we leave Phoenix we will travel through the Sonoran Desert. Home to many different species of Cacti including the Giant Saguaro cactus, which can only be found in the Sonoran desert and reaches heights of 60 feet, weighs up to 4800 lbs. and can live up to 200 years. As we ascend the fauna will change many times. The ecosystems of Arizona are numerous and include Coniferous forest, Grassland, Thorn scrub, Tundra and Temperate deciduous forest, many of which you will see on our Journey north.

You will experience two full days of touring, which include Williams, AZ  an exciting tour of the Grand Canyon National Park and a stop in scenic Flagstaff all paired with great Arizona Craft Beer!

Arizona's wonder of the world is yours on both days with the best Grand Canyon South Rim views, and time on the Navajo Nation's land to enjoy the expert craftsmanship and unique history of the local Native American culture.

Enjoy the Brews and Views Tour with a stop at historic Williams, AZ on historic Route 66. While in Williams we will tour the old train station and enjoy a meal and sample beers from The Grand Canyon Brewery at Cruiser's Café 66. After lunch we will tour the brewery and see where our beer was created.  After our stop in Williams we depart for the Grand Canyon. At approximately 2:00pm your guide will assist you with your hotel check in and you will have the remainder of the day to relax overlooking one of the Natural Wonders of the World.  

You will enjoy the breathtaking views while standing on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and looking across mile upon mile of amazing rock formations that have helped scientists understand more of our evolution going back millions of years.  While at the Rim of the National Park, you will have opportunities to hike, shop, and capture an unlimited amount of photographs of this truly amazing wonder of the world. I remember the first time I saw it, the hair on my neck literally stood up and I was speechless.

Our overnight stay at the Grand Canyon gives you an excellent chance to explore ancient Native American civilizations that surround you and gaze at the spectacular landscapes that are in abundance in which ever direction you look. As the sun sets the Canyon changes from one color to another with many different shades forming as the sun gets lower and lower.

DAY # 3 Brewers Dinner, with Lunch in Scottsdale.

Take the morning off with breakfast on your own to recharge.  At 11.30am, we head out to beautiful Scottsdale and soak up the western culture of downtown.  Lunch is planned at one of it's hidden jewels, Craft 64. It is the only Bar that carries beers from every brewery in Arizona with over 30 beers on tap. The food is amazing and all cooked in a brick fire oven. They use only fresh locally-sourced organic ingredients and make there own bread and cheese. They are situated in the art walk district of Scottsdale which will give you the opportunity to shop for souvenirs in the many art and craft stores selling everything from Cowboy hats to Native American jewelry.  Don't forget to stop and pose for some great photo's among the amazing western style sculptures that seem to be on every corner.

After returning to our hotel in the late afternoon, we shall have time to freshen up before enjoying a brewers dinner, pairing fabulous beer with locally sourced foods.

Day # 2 The Arizona Strong Beer Festival.

In the morning, we shall head to Steele Indian School Park and attend The Arizona Strong Beer Festival 2015.

The Arizona Strong Beer Festival is home to an astounding assortment of memorable brews that provide the perfect respite for the winter weary.  This event features a myriad of – you guessed it – strong beer styles on hand for tasting, a plethora of top-notch food vendors and live musical performances to keep the festivities "rocking",  Arizona’s “Best Beer Festival” has quickly become one of the state’s "can’t miss" hospitality and tourism event.  Come on by and get a taste of what’s on tap for craft beer’s biggest week-long southwestern celebration.

Day # 1 Meet and Greet with the RABT team.

In the late afternoon, we will meet together for the first time at our selected hotel and you will receive your RABT gift bag.   We will get acclimated to Phoenix, Arizona by sampling some of its finest craft beers with appetizers specially prepared by local chefs.  In the evening, your first dinner will begin to unravel the secrets of American gastronomy and beer cuisine; excellent beers with proper food pairings! After dinner, for those of you who are not jet lagged, a planned pub crawl takes us to some of The Valley Of The Sun's most famous beer drinking destinations.
